Watching your TV online used to be something I could only hope would one day be possible, but now the future really is upon us as not only can you watch TV online, but you can watch it on your phone too.

Watching TV online has become a choice for many viewers which when you think that the TV itself has only been around for less than one hundred years becomes quite an amazing thought. Up until recently people could only watch television through a large square box that was usually centered in their living room. The way Sky Go works is it’s a new service that lets you use a variety of devices (PC, laptop, Mac, iPhone, iPad etc) and it’s available for free to all Sky TV customers.  In my opinion, this really is the best way to watch TV online as most people these days have a Sky TV package anyway, and Sky Go is completely free and you can be set up and watching TV online all within about twenty minutes. Now for those of you who don’t have the luxury of having a Sky TV package, you can purchase some that will let you access live streams from many free TV channels from around the globe. This kind of software will usually cost you around $50 and for that price you will get access to over 2000 channels that let you watch TV online.

Why Do People Watch TV Online?

I think one of the main reasons that people love to watch TV online is because it’s so convenient. These days almost everyone has a laptop of some sort, so it’s easy to just pick up, turn on and then start watching TV online whenever you want. As well as that, I would say that these days people are even more likely to have a laptop than they are a TV. Take a student for instance that doesn’t have much money. Chances are that they have a laptop or a computer, but they don’t necessarily have a TV because a TV can be expensive. Or if you don’t have access to Sky TV then you can download a Satellite TV Software and that has a onetime fee of around $50 and then that will give you access to thousands of live TV internet streams as well as radio streams.  One you download the software you can literally be watching live TV from around the world or listening to a variety of live radio stations all from within that one piece of software. To this day, I use either Sky Go or satellite TV software to watch TV online and it’s actually very rare for me to use my TV anymore.

One thing you should know is that while I was researching TV online for this blog post, I realized that it’s not just TV that you can watch, but you can also watch movies online as well. I think this is incredible, and it’s only the beginning. This technology is obviously absolutely huge and I can’t even imagine where it’s going to go years from now.
